Teams
Application
Applications are due on or before January 18, 2010. Please submit all applications to info@globalventurechallenge.com.
Teams will submit a one-page description of their idea (with a separate cover page) that clearly addresses each of the following:
- Describe the product and its underlying technology
- Explain how it is innovative and unique
- Describe the target customer group and provide a general market size
- Explain the need fulfilled by the product or service in the market
- Describe barriers to others entering the market, e.g. intellectual property, licensing strategies, and unique capabilities, knowledge, or qualifications
Teams are required to provide documentation (by letter of support) from faculty advisor to validate the concept and approach.
A panel of judges will select teams to complete in the semi-finals from these submissions. The most promising applicants will be chosen based on identification and communication of the market need, market opportunity, and the unique and innovative aspects of the product and the underlying technology. University and student names will not be shared with the judges in this process.
Teams selected to participate in the competition will be notified on February 1, 2010.
