Global Venture Challenge™ began at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in 2007 under the name Nano Nexus as an innovative endeavor offering students and businesses a unique opportunity to network with investors, top educators and leaders in industry along with experts in the research community who can help further their technologies.

The event is designed to accelerate the discovery and development of innovative ideas along the commercialization continuum, with the ultimate goal of launching new entrepreneurial ventures.
